Populations served
I work primarily with neurodivergent teens and adults who need support around trauma, relationship struggles, gender identity and sexual orientation exploration, and understanding their neurodivergence. I also provide counseling services to caregivers, paid or unpaid, who may be struggling with empathy fatigue, lack of support, and their own unmet emotional needs. Some areas that I have experience working with include:
Neurodivergence and developmental disabilities
LGBTQIA+
Trauma
Depression
Anxiety
Relationship issues
Sexual issues
Caregiving struggles
I do not provide crisis services, so before starting therapy we should talk about what level of care you may need and if I would be a good fit.
My approach
I take a neurodivergent affirmative approach in all of my work. This means I do not try to teach social skills or encouraging masking, but rather help clients understand themselves, their goals, and their values in a way that supports a more empowered and confident self. Some of the modalities I use to help clients in their mental health journey include:
Trauma-Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Polyvagal Theory
Self-Compassion and Compassion-Focused Therapy
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Insurance
I can currently accept the following insurance, or private pay:
Medicaid and Medicare
Aetna
Cigna
United Health Care
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
